CoolHead is a Finnish new wave craft brewery specialized in sour beers.
Founded in 2016 and currently employing five people full-time, our mission is to put Finland in the craft beer world map. We are working towards our goal by only releasing interesting, top-quality beers that we love to drink ourselves, as well as by investing a lot of time and effort on research & development.
Our brewhouse is in Tuusula, about 30 kilometers from Helsinki, right at the source of the purest water in the world. We brew around 150.000 liters per year, out of which 50% are sours, 30% are IPA’s and 20% are high-ABV / BA-products.
CoolHead is all about the Nordic and exotic clashing. In our beers you can taste the clean, crisp and minimalistic notes resembling the Nordic nature, but also the fresh, colourful and exciting taste of the tropics.
We have no rules for creativity, no boundaries, no regrets. Keep your cool, have a CoolHead!

TERRACE BAR opening days:
During the summer we open a pop-up terrace bar at the brewery every second Saturday of the month.
These days are 11 May, 8 June, 13 July, 10 Augusts and 7 September.

Nordic Sours & DEEP’s
Our Nordic Sours are inspired by the Nordic nature. They are clean, crisp and fresh beers, filled with flavours that we can find in the nearby forest, such as spruce tips, blueberries and raspberries. Our founder Cleber is from Brazil, which is why we regularly add also exotic fruits to our sours - sadly you can’t find mangoes in the Finnish forest!
We use plenty of fruit and berries in our sours - in our DEEP series we double the amount! These sours have been brewed with 250-300g of fruit/berries per liter!
We never use extracts.

We mostly brew hazy, juicy New England style IPA’s, but regularly experiment with other styles as well. Below are a few examples of IPA’s we did in 2018 - take a look at our FB and Instagram for more recent brews!
Experimental, High ABV & Barrel Aged Beers
We release over 50 different beers a year! About half of them are sours and a third are IPA’s. What is the remaining 20%, then?
About a fifth of our production falls under experimental, High ABV and BA-production.
