Our Story

Located in Tuusula, Finland, we are a innovative craft brewery founded by a Brazilian.

CoolHead Brew is a Finnish craft brewery founded by a Brazilian and two Finnish food economists from University of Helsinki. Our brewhouse is in Tuusula, about 30 kilometers from Helsinki, right at the source of the purest water in the world.

The beers we brew are something that we like to drink ourselves. The creation process is always a combination of different aspects in life, from all around the world. Cultures clashing, inspiration from the nature, kitchen, distilleries, cocktails - all blending together for something unique.

CoolHead Brew is all about keeping it cool. No rules for creativity, no boundaries, no regrets. Keep your cool, have a CoolHead!

Sours

Sour is the new IPA! We love sour beers. These tart, mouth puckering acidic bombs are just the perfect thirst quencher for pretty much every occasion or time of  the year. And oh boy, is it fun to play with all the fruits and bacteria, these beers are what really drives our passion in brewing!

DEEP Series

We use plenty of fruit and berries in our sours - in our DEEP series we double the amount! These sours have been brewed with 250-300g of fruit/berries per liter! 

We will release three new DEEP's during the spring and summer of 2018! Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to get the latest updates!

  DEEP Double Passion Imperial Gose 6%  A Double Fruited Imperial Gose brewed with 250g/l of passion fruit puree. Soured with our house lacto culture and seasoned with Pink Himalayan salt, we also added a good chunk of oats for extra creaminess.

NEIPA's

There are four New England IPA's we absolutely love and develop over and over again! In addition to these four, we regularly brew seasonal IPA's! 

  Haziness 5,5%  Haziness is our Session IPA showcasing Galaxy, Vic Secret and Nelson Sauvin hops. We get a lot of refreshing ripe pineapple, pine and grapefruit peel from this one. Store cold, don't age, drink fresh!

  Juiciness 5.5%  Juiciness is our session IPA showcasing Citra & Mosaic hops. As the name says, we try to squeeze all the juice from those hops in this one for a one tropical fruit smoothie. Store cold, don't age, drink fresh!

  DDH Summer in Vermont 8%  Brewed with copious amounts of American and Australian hops and our New England yeast strain - this beer is a combination of fruit circus and danky goodness - a Vermont style IPA how we like them to be.

Seasonals

We release over 50 different beers a year! About half of them are sours, DEEP's and IPA's presented in the earlier categories. The other half falls under these four subcategories - our Seasonals range.

  CoolHead Matured  We have six bourbon barrels that we use to produce the CoolHead Matured series.  This one is a barley wine brewed with maple and aged in Heaven Hills bourbon barrels!

  Brewery Collaborations  We love doing collaborations with both domestic and international breweries.   This one is a sour ale brewed with spruce tips and juniper twigs. We made it together with Tempel Brygghus!

  Cross-Sectoral Collaborations  We don't just collaborate with other breweries - we look across sectors for fruitful partnerships..   This one was a experimental science project brewed with the University of Helsinki. It's an American Wild Ale brewed with lactobacillus rhamnosus and saccharomyces boulardii. Gut to be good (for you), right?
